5 Months Old!

I can't believe my little baby butts are already five months old!

Here are some highlights about each of them....

Emily:

• Wearing mostly 0-3 size clothes, some 3 months
• Wearing size 1/2 diapers
• Loves to blow raspberries and spit
• Puckers up her lips
• Loves to people watch
• Can sit by herself for about five seconds
• Most of the time, she hates tummy time
• Can do baby push ups
• Can roll front to back and back to front, but doesn't very often
• Eats six times a day; is offered 5.5oz at each feeding, normally she will finish three bottles and the rest of the time she will eat about 4oz
• Has eaten rice cereal, apples, and bananas
• Is no longer being swaddled to sleep, but still using her pacifier
• Does exercises to help loosen up - seems to be helping, she's not as stiff all the time
• Does exercises to help the position of her ankles/feet - seems to be helping
• Likes to giggle at herself in the mirror

Kyle:

• Wearing some 0-3 size clothes, some 3 months, and some 3-6 months
• Wearing 1/2 sized diapers (fits in 2's, but it's easier for me if they both are wearing the same size)
• Does not like to stay still, he is always moving, unless he is asleep
• Loves to roll and twist
• Can do baby push ups
• Can get up on his hands and knees - it's only a matter of time before he figures out how to crawl
• Prefers to be on his belly or side over his back
• No longer uses a swaddle to sleep, but still falls asleep with a pacifier and then spits it out once he's sleeping
• Eats six times a day; is offered 6.5oz at eat meal, normally finished his bottle three times and the other three times normally eats about 5oz
• Has eat rice cereal, apples and bananas
• Loves to cuddle with mommy
• Going to physical therapy and doing exercises at home to stretch/strengthen the muscles on the right side of his neck
• Waiting for insurance approval for a helmet for the flat spot on the head

Some things about both twins...

• They love to hold hands with each other
• They love to suck on each other's fingers and toes
• Their favorite toy is a spit cloth - and they like to play with the same one at the same time
• They like to look at each other and explore each other's faces
• Enjoy sitting in their highchairs at the table while Mommy and Daddy eat dinner
