On Saturday afternoon around 1:00pm I started having contractions about two minutes apart. Most of them were pretty good ones. We waited a while, and finally when Emily and Kyle woke up from their nap, I called the doctor. She told me to head to the hospital to get checked. So we loaded everything up and headed to Lansing. Brent dropped me off at the hospital and took the kiddos to Grandma and Grandpa's house.
When I got to the hospital, they got me all hooked up to the monitors and such. They said I was having a good contraction pattern. Sadly, the contractions were not having much of an effect on my cervix. Around 7:00 or so, they decided to send me home, but suggested we stay at my parents house for the night (only 20 minutes away, instead of the 45 that we live). So headed to Williamston for the night.
It was a rough night. I was still having contractions every two minutes or until about 2am, so I didn't sleep much. About the time the contractions started to slow down a bit, Emily and Kyle decided they were done sleeping. So we tried to cuddle with two restless toddlers... around 6am, we finally put them back in their pack and plays and they slept for an hour or so.
On Sunday, once we were up for the day, we got around and headed to the mall to walk. Around this time my contractions were back to about two minutes apart, but weren't nearly as strong as they were on Saturday. My mom walked about five miles with me at the mall, while Mike played with the kiddos in the play area. By the time we were done walking, my contractions were pretty strong again.
Once back at my parents house, we ate lunch and everyone laid down for naps. I rested for a bit, but started having stronger contractions again. We were trying to decide if we wanted to go home or stay in Williamston. I called the on-call doctor again and she suggested walking for an hour and see how the contractions were and if they were still pretty strong, to head back to the hospital to get checked. She gave me the impression that if my cervix had changed at all, they she would have me admitted and try to help speed up the process.
So, my mom walked with me again for an hour... and then Brent and I headed back to the hospital. I had dilated a half a cm more. They hooked me up to the monitors and such and we waited. I was still having contractions every two minutes or so. My blood pressure was high, so they took that a couple times. Eventually they checked me again and I hadn't changed from the first time. She took my blood pressure again and it went down a little bit, but not much. The nurse said she was going to talk to the doctor and so we waited... and waited... Eventually the doctor came in and said they were going to admit me and give me some pitocin to help things along!
I don't do "belly pictures" like most people... but we took a picture just before we went to the hospital to have Emily and Kyle... so I wanted one of right before Colby was born too. It's not very good as I was already in a hospital gown... but yeah... you can still see my belly didn't get as big this time!
Around 8:00pm, my antibiotics for the GBS were started and then around 10:00pm the pitocin was started. I've heard stories about pitocin makings things so unbearable and such... but it really wasn't that bad. The contractions slowly started to get worse, just as they would if labor progressed on its own.
On Monday morning, around 6:30am my doctor got here and decided to break my water. She was going to wait, but once we talked about how quickly things went after my water was broken with Emily and Kyle, she decided she would break it.
Breaking my water only made things more painful, but didn't really speed up progression. Around 8:00am or so, I decided that it was time for an epidural. My nurse thought it would help speed things up because it would help me relax. It was about 8:30am when I got my epidural and was able to sleep for a little while.
At 10:30, the nurse checked and my cervix was at 4cm. We thought that it was going to be another several hours before Colby was born... we were thinking sometime late afternoon at this point. My nurse wanted me to try to get some more sleep and said she would check me again at 12:30pm.
At noon, my nurse came in to get everything set up and ready for delivery. While she was getting out all the stuff, I all of a sudden was in a lot of pain. She told me to push my button to give me another dose of the epidural medicine and said she would check me once everything was all set out. At 12:10pm, she checked and I was at 10cm, but Colby's head was still a little ways up. She went out and paged the doctor at 12:15. The resident came in right away and she and the nurse started to tear down the bed and get things ready while we waited for my doctor. My doctor came into the room at 12:22. They were still slowly getting stuff ready and my doctor decided to take a peak... then they started to RUSH to get things ready. I started pushing at 12:24... I pushed three times and Colby's head was out. At 12:27pm, I pushed a final time and Colby was all the way out and laying on my belly! He turned pick quickly and scored a 9 and then a 10 on the apgar test thingy.
After they got me all cleaned up and such, the nurse took Colby over to the little bed thingy to get him a little more cleaned up and get all this measurements and such. He was 6 pounds and 15.5 ounces; 20 inches long; head circumference was 13.1 inches.
The nurse gave Colby back to me and he latched right on to nurse and nursed for almost an hour!!
He has been a pretty relaxed baby during his first 24 hours. When he's awake, he loves to look around. He's been a great sleeper and a pro at nursing.
(I'll do another post soon about Colby meeting Emily and Kyle and all our other visitors!)

38 Week Prenatal Appointment
I had a check up today.
Everything went well.
I gained weight for the first time in six weeks! And my belly grew enough so they are not concerned about Colby's growth!
Colby's heart rate was 137 bpm.
She said that I could go into labor any day... or in two weeks... we just have to wait and see what happens!

37 Week Prenatal Appointment
I went to the doctor this morning to get all checked out. I was supposed to see my doctor today, but she was out with the flu, so I saw one of the midwifes at the practice. She was a different one that I hadn't met yet, but really enjoyed meeting her!
Colby's heart sounded good... and he was kicked and squirming all over the place while she was trying to listen.
I've lost more weight... and my belly hasn't grown much in the past week. I was told at this point its nothing to worry about, but if I loose more weight and my belly doesn't grow in the next week, we may have to worry... she told me to eat and eat and eat, but not to eat too much and make myself sick.
Colby is head down still and she said he is far enough down that we shouldn't have to worry about him flipping at this point.
I tested positive for Group B Strep... so when I go into labor I have to have to rounds of IV antibiotics. (I don't know if I was positive for not with Emily and Kyle... I went into labor before we got my results back, so I got the antibiotics anyway.) This really isn't that big of a deal as long as I get to the hospital in time to get all of the antibiotics... if not, Colby will just have to have a bunch of extra screenings as he's born to make sure the bacteria isn't going to make him sick.
And I got the whole "It could be any day now or it could still be two weeks from now" speech. My guess is still sometime next week...
This past Saturday I had contractions 2-3 minutes apart for about six hours. We debated going to the hospital, but ended up not going because I really didn't think I was in labor... and we had enough false alarms with Emily and Kyle to last through this pregnancy too! I got the "you should have called the on call doctor" speech... but then she told me that I probably made the right call by not going to the hospital. The intensity of the contractions were about the same for the whole six hours... if they would have gotten worse, then I would have called the on call doctor... The midwife I saw today said it sounds like I made the right decision for the right reasons, but did warn me that because of the positive GBS and the fact that we are a little bit farther from the hospital (about 40 minutes or so depending on traffic), that we do need to head to the hospital sooner rather than later...

36 Week Prenatal Visit
Colby and I had a check up today. Everything is all good...
I've lost more weight again...I'm down two pounds since my last visit... this isn't anything to worry about though because my belly is continuing to grow as it should, so that means Colby is growing too! Apparently pregnancy is a good weigh loss plan for me... at this rate I will weigh less after delivery than I did before I got pregnant!
Colby's heart rate was 134 bpm.
My blood pressure was low, as normal.
My belly is measuring right where it should be for where I am at in my pregnancy.
It's just a matter of time now before the little dude comes out! :)

A Busy Day: Snow, Two Doctors Appointments, Dinner with Friends, Hospital Trip
Yesterday, Kyle and I both had doctors appointments in Lansing, so we headed to Lansing bright and early with Brent. We dropped Brent off at work and then headed to Grandma and Grandpa Franks' house.
We played for a while and looked at the snow outside.
We were cheesers when Grandpa took lots of pictures!
Great Grandma Johnson came over for a little while. We played and we opened our presents from her!

Great Grandma Johnson came over for a little while. We played and we opened our presents from her!
Then we went outside to play in the snow! Emily HATED the snow! Kyle LOVED the snow!
Emily would only stand in the store for a couple minutes and then wanted to be picked up. She hung out with Mommy most of the time we were outside. She was afraid of Grandpa and Kyle because she thought they were going to get snow on her.
Kyle ventured off and played in the snow. He sat in it and rolled in it and played with it. He even played with snow balls!
After lunch, I headed to my OB's office for my 34 week prenatal visit. Colby's heart rate was 147 bpm. I lost two pounds in the past two weeks, but my belly grew, so there wasn't much of a concern. I passed a kidney stone on Sunday, and it appeared that all was better from that. Everything checked out all good!
Later in the afternoon, Kyle had his appointment for his echo. There was some emergency at the office, we they were 45 minutes late taking him back for his test. Grandma and Grandpa were with us, and both kiddos did great playing with all the toys in the waiting room and not getting impatient! Once we finally got back, Kyle did great. His was a little squirmy when he got tickled, but for the most part laid still and the tech was able to get all the pictures and measurements he needed of Kyle's heart. We should get a cal next week with the results.
We then met Tommy, Allie, and Parker for dinner at Five Guys! Emily was crazy about Parker. As soon as she saw him, she knew who he was and wanted to play with him. It was nice to be able to hang out with them for a little bit... we used to hang out often and haven't very much since we moved to Ionia.
By the time we left Five Guys, neither Brent nor I felt very good. I drove half way home and had to stop to throw up... then Brent drove the rest of the way home. Once we got home, we both were feeling pretty miserable. We got the kids to bed, and I called the on call doctor at my OB's office because pretty much everything I had eaten all day had been puked up at that point. The doctor told me I needed to go to the hospital. Brent stayed home with the kids to sleep so that he would hopefully feel better, and I drove to the hospital and my parents met me there. After waiting forever, I finally got put in a room and they started an IV to treat me for dehydration and hooked me up to monitors to make sure all was well with Colby. After LOTS of fluids and some anti-nausea drugs in my IV, I was finally starting to feel better. The doctor was pretty sure that I (and Brent) had food poisoning. There is some bug going around, but neither of us had a fever, so she didn't think it was that. Finally around 6:00am this morning, I was discharged and headed back to my parents house to sleep for a while.
I am exhausted, but am feeling better. Brent is still not feeling very well... hopefully soon we will both be back to normal. And hopefully the doctor was right that it was food poisoning and Emily and Kyle don't get sick too!

32 Week Prenatal Appointment
Yesterday I went back to the doctor. The most exciting part about the visit was that we ALL went... My appointment was at 4:30, so it was just easiest to let Emily and Kyle take naps at home and we left when they woke up and Brent met us at the doctors office.
Everything with Colby went really well. His heart sounded good (I forget what she said his heart rate was). My belly is measuring right on track (no longer big). My blood pressure is nice and low.
We talked a little bit about contractions because I'm still having them regularly... But as long as I rest, they go away. In the last two weeks, the closest they have been in 15 minutes apart and not TOO painful. This morning I was having contractions about 10 minutes apart for a little bit, but once Emily and Kyle let me rest for a little bit, they stopped.
Colby moves... and moves.. and moves.. Until I feel like letting someone touch my belly to feel him moving.. and then he stops!
I'm feeling okay... just very pregnant. I'm to the point where I am having a hard time finding comfortable positions to sit in and sleep in and having a hard time breathing at times. Comfort wise though, just having one baby in my belly is WAY easier than having two! Energy wise... I think I had more energy and wasn't as exhausted all the time when I was pregnant with Emily and Kyle. When I was pregnant last time, I sat in front of a computer at work and then sat on the couch at home.... this time I am chasing around two toddlers by my self most of the day... But then end is in sight (and by the end, I mean the beginning of extreme exhaustion for a while!).
My dad bought us Colby's crib for Christmas and it came in last week. I set it up over the weekend. It's the same crib that Emily and Kyle both have and will turn into a toddler bed when we are ready.
We are slowly working on getting his room set up... We have most of the furniture, so it's mostly just figuring out where I want to put stuff... and finding places for the other stuff that is currently stored in his bedroom.

30 Week Prenatal Appointment
I had a prenatal appointment today. Everything is good for the most part...
I gained two pounds in the past two weeks... so I've now gained a total of 8 pounds!
My blood pressure was really low. She said its great that its that low when I'm 30 weeks pregnant!
Colby's heart rate was 132 bpm.
My belly measured at 32 weeks... so still sticking with the two weeks ahead measurements.
I've been having contractions on and off when I've been too active. The closest they've gotten together is 10 minutes, so I didn't really think it was too big of a deal. They normally slow down and go away if I just lay down and do nothing for a while. Apparently I should have called the doctor though when they were 10 minutes apart for a couple hours last week. She explained that because I had issues with pre-term labor with Emily and Kyle, that I might this pregnancy too. She says that it kind of sounds like I am starting to have some of the issues, but it also sounds like I know "the drill" with drinking water and laying down and such to see if the contractions go away. But... I am supposed to call if I am having contractions for more than an hour that won't go away with rest... and will most likely have to go in to be checked and monitored. Hopefully Emily and Kyle will let me take it easy the next two months so that we don't have to make any unplanned trips to my doctors office or OB triage!
She also said that there is a good chance that I will have Colby before 40 weeks. She explained that with twins it's very normal to have them early (which we know) but it's also common to have any babies after twins a little bit early. She said as of right now, she doesn't see me having a problem making it to 36 weeks, but the goal is 38 weeks. I think I'm going to have Colby somewhere around the 39 week mark... but we'll see... it's God's decision when Colby comes out, not mine :)

28 Week Prenatal Appointment
On Monday I had my 28 week prenatal appointment. For the most part all went well.
Colby's heart rate was 135 bpm, which the doctor said is perfectly normal.
My belly measured at 30 weeks... I've been measuring a little bit this whole pregnancy, so that wasn't a surprise.
My one-hour glucose screening and other blood work came back "excellent." The doctor said everything was well within normal for a non-pregnant woman, so that's excellent considering I am in fact pregnant.
I gained another pound... Up a total of six from where I started.
The only issue is that I am starting to have issues with my sciatic nerve. On days that I am up and on my feet a lot, at the end of the day I have a really hard time moving around and tasks such as getting out of bed to pee are close to impossible. It's extremely painful some days... and other days it's fine. Typically a chiropractor could provide some relief, but because of my history of a broken back, I shouldn't see a chiropractor. My OB has referred me to some other sort of specialist... I forget what she called the doctor... but I haven't heard from them about an appointment yet.
Colby is more active than Emily and Kyle were while I was pregnant with them (at times, he is more active than they are now!).... but considering he has way more room to move around than they did, it doesn't surprise me. Colby is long enough now that he can punch me in the bladder and kick me in the lungs are the same time. It makes some days lots of fun!
I'm excited that I am now in the third trimester of this pregnancy and soon we will get to meet the little dude inside me. We are starting to get stuff ready for him... hoping to get the rest of what we need for his bedroom for Christmas.
Emily and Kyle still aren't really sure what's going on. If you ask them where Colby is, they will point to my belly. They both give him night night kisses every night and give him hugs when asked. Emily lays her head on my belly often and talks to Colby and they both tell him "no hit" when they feel him move. I'm still not sure though that they really understand Colby is a baby... and not just Mommy's belly!

Prenatal Check Up
Yesterday I went to the OB for my check up. Everything looked and sounded good. Colby's heart rate was 150 bpm. I'm still measuring a little big, but that's normal and expected. I go back in another four weeks... after that we start every two!
I haven't thrown up in over a month! (I'm pretty sure the last time was the first weekend of September).
My headaches have gotten a lot better... I've only have one bad one in the past two weeks.
Colby moves and kicks like crazy. It's a lot more of a distinct movement than I remember with Emily and Kyle... Doctor says its because there is just one baby and he has a little more room to move around. I'm pretty sure Emily and Kyle have both felt Colby move. They will be sitting on my lap (leaning against my belly) and will react when Colby kicks. Brent has yet to feel him move though... he'll be moving and kicking and then as soon as Brent puts his hand on my stomach, Colby will be still. Hopefully soon :)

An Update on a Few Things...
House
We decided over the weekend that we were ready to just be done with our house in Delaware. In December it will be two years that we've been trying to sell it. Brent called the bank yesterday to see what we need to do to do a "deed-in-lieu." This is kind of like a foreclosure, except we just sign the house over to the bank and don't have to do through all the normal foreclosure stuff. We are waiting for a phone call back from our short sale specialist before we can proceed. Hopefully this won't take as long as all the short sale stuff took.
As Brent was hanging up with the bank, we got an email from our Realtor saying there was someone possibly interested. So, I guess we are going to wait until we get a for sure yes or no from that person before pursing the deed-in-lieu.
Brent's Employment
As of October 1st, Brent will be employed part time by Shiloh Community Church! Yesterday he found out that he was going to be able to work part time at his current job for the time being. He will work Monday, Thursday, and Friday at Maxima and then Tuesdays during the day at church, and then we will be at church on Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings.
The plan is for him to find another part time job in the area of the church once we move so that he is not having to have an hour commute.
Housing
We have spoken with the manager of our apartment complex about getting out of our lease. She said that only way we can get out without having to pay lots of money is if a new tenant is found to rent our apartment. She has listed the apartment as available, posted adds, and is trying to get into contact with some people she has on a waiting list. She sounded confident that she could find a new tenant to sign a lease starting November 1st.
Next Wednesday on the way to church we are going to look at an apartment near church that will be available towards the end of October. So if it all works out, that would be great timing for us.
It's A...... BOY!
We did find out the gender of the baby, but didn't want to tell right away. I went back and forth on the decision so many times. In the end I decided that if we could find out, we would. But we weren't going to tell people right away. I decided that we would tell Emily and Kyle and talk to them about the baby using the baby's name, and once they were able, they could tell people. I didn't take Emily very long and she started telling people! She's one smart girlie!
So we are having another little boy....Colby Thomas :)

It's A....
SURPRISE!
Yesterday I had my 20 week anatomy ultrasound and a prenatal appointment.
The ultrasound went well. I saw 10 fingers and 10 toes and all kinds of other little body parts. The baby was moving and flipping around during most of the ultrasound. The baby's heart beat was 155 bpm and is estimated to be 14oz. Everything measured right on track.
Because my due date has been in question from the start and the baby keeps measuring a couple days different at each of the ultrasounds, we weren't sure what the "official" due date was. Yesterday I was given the official due date of February 2.
My appointment went well. My blood pressure and everything else looked good. I had seen a neurologist last week because of my headaches/migraines and he recommended that my OB put me on magnesium to help prevent my headaches and migraines. After talking about it, because I have been only have one or so a week, instead of the five or six I was having, we are going to hold off of the magnesium for now. If my headaches start getting worse again, then my OB will go ahead and give me an RX.
As far of finding out the gender of the baby.... I felt like I really didn't have a choice. I had so many people that I felt pressure from to find out. I had lots of comments about how it would just be easier to know for this reason and that... and lots of negative reactions when I said I didn't think I wanted to know. That being said... for now... the gender will remain a surprise!

16 Week Appointment
I had a check up yesterday with my OB. Everything looked good. I've started to gain weight (I was losing weight). The baby's heart rate was 158 bpm. My belly is measuring a little big, but that's normal for pregnancy number two.
The only concern is that I am still having frequent migraines and headaches, so my OB wants me to go see a neurologist to try to figure out a pregnancy safe treatment. I should know today when that appointment is.
I go back Sept 17th for my next check up and for the anatomy ultrasound. At that visit we'll be able to find out if the baby is a boy or a girl...if we want...

Ultrasound
I had my NT ultrasound today. Everything looked good with the little baby.... the baby actually looks like a baby now and not a gummy bear and was doing flips in my belly. The tech promised me the baby really was flipping and she wasn't flipping the wand around. The baby's heart rate was 158 bpm and I once again have a new due date. This little one is now estimated to enter the world on February 4. So in February we'll see which of the four due dates I've now had is right!

Doctor's Appointment
I had a prenatal appointment yesterday. Everything went well.
My blood pressure was back to normal.
I'm back to my pre-pregnancy weight.
The baby's heart rate was 168 bpm.
My doctor hesitantly changed my due date to go along with my dating ultrasound. She said that it was right at the cut off point where they change due dates and was even more hesitant because of how big my uterus felt... but she changed it for now. My new due date is February 8th.
I'm having another ultrasound next Friday.
Because the Zofran hasn't been completely helping with my nausea, gave me two other anti-nausea meds to try in coordination with the Zofran. I picked them up this morning, so we'll see. I haven't been throwing up as much the past week... I just constantly feel like I am going to throw up, which is no fun.
She also prescribed a prenatal cradle belt for me. She said that I'm probably going to need the extra support because of the fact I broke my back nine months ago.

Unexpected Visit to the Doctor
On Sunday afternoon I started to get a headache. By the time we were ready for bed, it was a bad headache. I took some Tylenol PM and hoped that I would feel better in the morning. No such luck. Yesterday morning I work up with an even worse headache. By 9am, I was in LOTS of pain, throwing up, dizzy, seeing spots, and all that fun stuff. I just laid in bed and hoped that I would feel better. Around lunch, I felt a little bit better, so I didn't call the doctor. After Emily and Kyle woke up from their naps and I started running around playing with them, I felt really bad again. I called my OB's office and spoke with a nurse. She told me some things to try and said to call back in the morning if I wasn't feeling better.
This morning, I wasn't feeling better... so I called and they had me come in for an appointment.
My blood pressure was REALLY high, but my urine was negative for other signs of preeclampsia. Because of the negative urine test, the doctor was pretty sure that I was just having a bad migraine and the pain from the migraine was causing my blood pressure to be so high. They gave me some shots (because I was having trouble keeping anything down) and sent me home. Told me to give them a call if I wasn't feeling better. By the time I got home, I was feeling a lot better!
I go back next Tuesday for my normal check-up, so they will recheck my blood pressure and urine then. Hopefully my blood pressure will be back to normal!
I have to say I am very happy with the OB's office I choose. The office I was at for my last pregnancy... it seemed like any time I had problems, they just sent me over to the OB triage at the hospital. I LOVE the fact that this office wanted to see me first. They did tell me that might send me to the hospital after they saw me, but they wanted to see me first to determine if I really needed to go to the hospital. That makes me happy!

Another One!
Yep! We are having another BABY!
I started this post when we found our we were pregnant, but wasn't ready to post it until now. I wanted to document memories and such from the beginning just like we did when we were pregnant with Emily and Kyle, even though we weren't ready to share our exciting news yet. If you care to read below, you can see the different entries from the dates noted. If not.. that's fine too! Just enjoy our new and celebrate our new blessing with us!
In case you were wondering... we weren't actually "trying" to get pregnant... but we weren't doing anything to prevent it either... There was some hope that we would be able to get pregnant the old fashion way, but we didn't know for sure. We decided that we would just leave it in the hands of God... and apparently God thought we needed another child!
June 3
I realized this morning that I was several days late... so I took a pregnancy test. It was positive. I know they don't lie [often], but I didn't really believe it. Later in the day I took a digital pregnancy test... and when the word "pregnant" popped up, it was a little hard not to believe!
We decided we were going to tell our families until Father's Day weekend because my Mom and Mike are out of town and I really want to be able to tell our families in person this time.
June 4
I had to go to the doctor to take an "official" pregnancy test today so that I could get insurance... and Kara was hanging out with the toddles and I all day today.... so at lunch time Emily and Kyle told Aunt Kara about the baby in my belly. She cried :)
Brent called his sister Alyssa (who we won't see Father's Day weekend) and told her!
My "official" pregnancy test gave us the same results as the two at home. The nurse told me I made her day with how excited I was :)
The nausea has begun... no throwing up yet, but I sure feel like I could.
June 10
We (really I) decided that we didn't want to wait until Father's Day weekend to start telling family. We told Brent's parents and grandparents and one of his aunts today after church! I'm way more fun telling people in person that it was telling people over the phone. Specially because this time no one is expecting it!
I threw up last night for the first time.... hopefully it will be the only time!
June 15
I told my mom and Mike today. They were both very excited!
It's crazy how much of a belly I have already. A couple days ago, a random stranger asked me when my baby was due. It shocked me... I wasn't really sure how to respond! I have packed up all my regular jeans and pulled out all my maternity ones.
June 20
And the morning, noon, and night sickness has begun :( Monday I threw up on and off all day. Yesterday, I felt like I was going to throw up all day, but only did twice. Hopefully it won't get as bad as it did last time I was pregnant.
June 25
Yep, still puking! And I've lost 2lbs :(
I had my first OB appointment today. Everything looked good. She ordered a level II ultrasound to determine exactly how far along I am. Normally they base it on your last period, but because my periods weren't regular, she wants to do an ultrasound. And because I am having the level II ultrasound next week, there wasn't one done in the office today... so we still don't know how many babies are in my belly. I am pretty sure there is just one, but everyone else in the world seems to think there is more than one.
I also got an RX for my best friend - Zofran! Yay for hopefully less puking!
June 29
For the most part, the Zofran is helping... but I am still puking every once in a while.
I'm am exhausted, so I'm sure that doesn't help with things... Emily and Kyle have decided that didn't want to take naps this week, so my normal down time has disappeared. I also haven't been sleeping well at night. After taking forever to fall asleep, I am normally woken up by horrible nightmares; I had crazy dreams last night I was pregnant too... but this time instead of random people dying or getting hurt in my dreams, it has been Emily and Kyle. The dreams are so real... normally when they wake me up, I have to go into the toddles room and check to make sure they are both okay... and then it takes me forever to fall asleep again!
July 3
Still puking... and I've lost more weight! Hopefully I won't lose as much as I did when I was pregnant with Kyle and Emily...
Emily and Kyle LOVE to give the baby kisses! You ask them where the baby is and they go right to my belly. They give the baby kisses every night before they go to bed. Emily often will lay with her head on my belly and talk to the baby. It's pretty cute! :)
June 5
I was right! There is just one baby in my belly this time!
Everything looked good on the ultrasound. The baby is measuring at 8 weeks and 6 days and according to my last period I am 9 weeks and 4 days pregnant. The ultrasound tech said that it's close enough they probably won't change my due date, but I will have to wait to find that out when I see my doctor on July 24th. So as of right now, I am still due Feb 3rd!
You can see the baby's little head and arm and leg buds. One the screen I could see the baby squirming around in my belly! It makes the pregnancy feel a lot more real now that I've actually seen the baby and heard the baby's heart beat! (Not that the throwing up and growing belly didn't make it seem real...)
