15 months old and a well visit

Peyton was 15 months old yesterday....but I nene got around to writing a post or taking pictures because I was pretty sick.

Speaking of sick....Peyton is sick too. He has an upper respiratory infection and a double ear infection. We went to redicare on Tuesday and they put in on antibiotics, but because his ears are still red, his regular doctor is changing the antibiotic to something strong. And because this is the second ear infection in a month, we are going back to have his ears checked in three weeks and if there are any more infections in the near future, we'll be referred to the ent to talk about tubes.

Peyton is growing up so fast....but only slowly growing. He weighed in at 20lbs even and measured 30 inches long today. Both right about the 12th percentile. Even though he's low on try charts, he's big for a Eubank kid!

Peyton is learning so much. He doesn't really say much yet, but is good at pointing and shreeking to let us know what he wants. He's pretty good at following directions and following what the other kids are doing.

It seemed like for a long time we struggled to get Peyton to eat, but we are past those days. Peyton loves food. The only time we really struggle to get him to eat now is when he can't have what everyone else is eating or something close to it.

Peyton loves to play with whatever toys everyone else is....and TV remotes. He used to love the remote control cars, but recently they have terrified him. But he still loves regular toy cars, and books, and stuffed animals, and play food....and whatever his siblings are playing with that they don't want to share with him.

Peyton has turned into a little monkey. He loves to climb on everything and anything he can....including the kitchen table!

Peyton is still nursing on demand during the day, but typically nurses when he wakes up, before nap time, after nap time, and before bed. Sometimes he sleeps all night long....Sometimes he still wakes up and wants to nurse in the middle of the night.

We are still having issues with Peyton not being terrified of people. He's slowly starting to get better, but he still likes to cling to mommy or daddy if there are other people around.

I'll try to take some pictures later, but no promises! Life is kind of crazy with four kiddos to keep up with!

13 Months Old!!

I never got around to writing a post yesterday, but I did think about it a time or two when I was working on the "Pumpkin Car" or driving home.

Peyton was thirteen months old yesterday!! It still doesn't seem possible that he's a year old. I know I saw it often, but it's crazy how quickly kids grow up!

Peyton has become very opinionated...he knows what he wants and isn't to fond of being told no. He doesn't say much, but has coming very good at letting us know what he wants and how he feels. He says "ehh" and points when he wants something. And has meltdowns when he doesn't get what he wants.

Peyton is always on the go. He doesn't sit still and play in one spot for very long. He walks around looking for new stuff to explore and other things to get into.

Peyton is still nursing, but I'm trying to start to get it to be more of a schedule and less on demand. He typically nurses in the morning, after lunch, after nap, and before bed...and whenever he wakes up at night.

In the past few weeks, Peyton has started to finally really get the hang of eating table food. This is both good and bad... It's good because he's eating more and exploring new foods. It's bad because he always wants what everyone else is having...which he gets.. unless it has something in it he's allergic too. Meals around here are going to start becoming meals that can be allergy free so Peyton can eat what everyone else is having with just a little modification.

We had a follow up appointment last week with the allergist. I have tried eggs baked into things, and he seems to do fine with that. So was told to continue doing that, but still not to give him plain eggs. Was also told we could continue to give him small amounts of soy as tolerated, but it was recommended not to give him lots of it. As far as dairy goes, we still are to keep it all completely away from him. I told her about the incident a while ago when Peyton got a hold of Colby's milk cup and started having breathing issues and she said it sounds likes he started to have an anaphylactic reaction and giving him the benadryl right away slowed down the processes and allowed his body to recover. Luckily though, he still doesn't react to anything I eat, so that gives us hope that he isn't very sensitive to his allergens and that he'll out grow them!

Peyton also had his one year well visit not too long ago. He was 29 inches, 19lbs 12 oz, and his head is 46 cm around. He's growing!! All checked out well for this appointment.

Peyton loves to play with whatever his siblings are playing with, but he's also starting to enjoy playing by himself too. He likes cars...and drives them around making car noises! He has started coloring when the big kids are. He really like to eat the crayons, but he also likes to make marks on the paper.

Peyton is still very attached to mommy, but is slowly getting better. He is starting to like grandparents, aunts, and uncles more often then not. He has also started interacting a little more with some of the teens when he goes to youth group with us.

Sleeping is not one of Peyton's favorite things. He does take a decent nap in his crib most days, he still is struggling to sleep through the night most of the time. It seems like most nights he's awake at least twice and wanting to nurse. Hopefully now that he's finally starting to eat more table food, he won't be so hungry at night and will sleep a little better.

Peyton is an amazing little man. It's fun watching him grow and seeing his personality start to shine through more and more!

Ten Months Old

Somehow this little man is already ten months old!

Peyton is very much a mommy's boy. Normally he wants to be near mommy or on top of mommy or in momm'y arms. He likes daddy a lot too... He's starting to like more people, but still wants mommy over anyone else most of the time.

Peyton is still breastfeeding like a champ! He gets all excited when it's time to nurse... often he will clap his hands and lick his lips while he is waiting for me to unhook my bra and tank top and be ready for him. He's also started to get mad when Colby nurses if he's not nursing at the same time. It's kind of funny...and kind of annoying!

Peyton is loving solids too... most of the time. He's normally not a fan of getting in his highchair, but once he's in there, he normally loves to eat baby food. He doesn't really care for anything with textures yet. He has had puffs a few time, but after choking and puking, he won't let one anywhere near his mouth. Every once in a while we can get him to eat a rice krispy, and he will eat mushed up bananas all day long... but for the most part he sticks to his baby food and boob milk!

Peyton loves to drink from cups with straws. Only about half of what he drinks gets into  his belly because he opens his mouth when he gets excited that something came out of the straw!

Peyton is crawling and walking and climbing all over. He's still a little wobbly when he walks, but he's getting better every day!

Peyton is wearing pretty much all nine month clothes right now. There are a few other random things in his drawers, but the nine months is what fit him the best right now!

Peyton normally is up for the day between 7 and 8 am. He normally takes a morning nap while nursing around 10, and then most days he takes a nap in the afternoon after lunch. Sometimes his nap is a half an hour and other times he'll sleep for three hours! At night, he typically goes to bed around 8 pm and sleeps for a few hours. Most nights, he still wants to nurse two or three times during the night.

Peyton has a tooth! A few days ago it just appeared. One day I noticed the white bump on his gum, and then the next day it had broken through. He wasn't cranky at first, but after it broke through he got cranky.

Personality wise, Peyton is a spunky little boy! He loves to laugh and loves to get into everything he can. He loves to give snuggles and kisses and smiles! As long as mommy is somewhere in the area, he's a very joyful little boy!

We love our littlest man and wouldn't trade him for anything!

39 Weeks and Nine Months Old

For some reason Blogger messed up the order of the pictures and won't let me change it... so the pictures are all mixed up!

I have been struggling to take weekly pictures since we moved... but I got them this week while we had the blocks and camera out for Nine Month pictures.. so they are mixed in. As about this time with the other kiddos, block pictures are getting harder because Peyton just wants to eat the blocks and won't sit still! And he wants to grab at the camera!

Peyton is on the go! He's crawling, furniture walking, and taking a few steps here and there. He loves to play with the cabinets in the kitchen (still trying to figure out what I want to do to keep the kitchen safe) and he loves to stand and look out the front screen/glass door. He still loves to be worn, but when he's not in a carrier, most of the time he would prefer to be down, playing, and exploring.

Most days, Peyton loves to eat solids. He seems like to fruits over veggies, so we have started buying the combo foods so that he gets some veggies without having to fight about it. He's gotten a few hives from green beans, so we are staying away from those. Everything else we've tried so far seems to be okay though.

Peyton loves to nurse even more than he loves to eat solids. He nurses like a champ four or five times during the day, then at night before bed and whenever he wakes up in the middle of the night.

Sleep wise, Peyton is all over the place. Most days he wakes up between 7am and 8am, takes a nap after lunch, and then goes to bed between 7pm and 8pm. If we take a car ride, all bets are off though. Normally, if we are in the car for more than 10 minutes, he's out and then I can't get him to go back to sleep when we get home. At night, he's norm has been waking up two or three times to nurse... although we have had some long stretches the past few nights, so I'm hoping we are on our way to better night time sleep!

For the most part, Peyton still isn't a fan of other people... specially women. He'll laugh and smile and such... but if someone besides Mommy and Daddy are holding him or try to pick him up, there is a really good chance that he will cry.

Peyton loves to clap if people around him are clapping. He's also started clapping recently when he gets a clean diaper!

If Peyton here's music (and he's not in his car seat), there's a good chance that he will try to dance. He stands holding on to something and bounces up and down and shakes his little butt! And has a huge smile on his face the whole time that he's doing it! It's pretty cute.

Peyton HATES bath time. When we moved, we started giving him baths with the big kids and he SCREAMS the whole time. He's also not a fan of sitting on the floor while taking a shower with mommy or daddy... so I think it has something to do with the floor/bathtub that it does with the fact he's in a bath with a bunch of crazies! He does enjoy showers though if mommy or daddy is holding him.

One of my favorite things that this kid does is grab my face (and daddy's and the big kids') and give kisses! Open mouth, wet, slobbery kisses! He knows what he's doing too because not only does he do it when he wants, but he'll give me kisses most of the time when I ask for them!

I just pulled the rest of the 3-6 month clothes out of Peyton's dresser. He now has 6 month and 6-9 month clothes. The 6 month jammies are too short for him, but everything else still fits him well and the 6-9 month clothes seem a little big still.

I'm not sure what else to say...other than we love this little man so much and are more grateful than words can express for him.... so just enjoy the last few pictures of my little!   :)

Eight Months Old

I think each kid grows up a little faster... it's kind of sad...

This sweet little boy is eight months old today!

Peyton loves to get into everything and explore. He's crawling... well..crawling a few crawls and then scooting on his belly...everywhere. He is pulling himself up on anything he can. He is furniture walking. Walking when he's holding someones' hands. Standing up for a few second by himself. Climbing up stairs.
It's all craziness and too soon!

Peyton also likes to talk. He tells stories and giggles. He'll have a whole conversation with someone...even though no one has any idea what he's saying yet!

Peyton still loves to nurse and is sort of hit or miss with food. He seems to enjoy fruits more than veggies most of the time, but sometimes inhales veggies and wants nothing to do with fruit. He's had green beans, squash, carrots, sweet potatoes, peaches, bananas, and apples. We think he had a reaction from the green beans, so we are staying away from them for a while. When he's interested in food, he normally eats about 4oz of solids at a meal...and we try three times a day. He's nursing six times a day most days, and then once during the night.

Peyton loves to take naps as much as his big brother! (Meaning he doesn't like taking naps!). He will normally fall asleep while nursing mid morning and then again mid afternoon. If I sit on hold him after he's done nursing, he'll sleep for a couple hours. If I put him down, most of the time he wakes up...every once in a while though I get lucky and he'll take a decent nap in his bed. His car seat is a game changer though.. most the time if we are in the car for more than 10 minutes, he's out..and sometimes it doesn't even take that long!

At night, Peyton has been nursing around 8 or so after the big kids are in bed and sleeps for a little while, nurses some more around 10 or so, and then sleeps until 5:30 or so. Most mornings he will go back to sleep until about 7:30 and then he's ready to go for the day!

Peyton is still wearing mostly six month clothes. There are a few 6-9 month things in his drawers. Some of his six month onies and jammies are starting to get a little snug, so we'll probably switch out his clothes next week when he move.

Peyton loves to have attention... from some people. He loves to be the center of attention at home and isn't too keen on being in a room by himself. He does not like most women though... besides Mommy, Grandma Franks is typically the only other women he is okay being with. He loves being with daddy too, but if Mommy is gone for too long, Peyton is not a happy camper. Other than Daddy, Peyton normally screams if mommy walks away and leaves him with anyone.

Peyton loves his brothers and sister. He is always curious as to what they are up to and loves being able to follow them around and is constantly trying to play with them. Sometimes they like this...and sometimes not so much... but they all love to baby brother so much and its a blessing to be able to watch!

This kiddo is amazing. I am so thankful to be his mommy. To watch him grow. To nurse him. To comfort him. To hug and kiss him. To love him!

Doctors Doctors and more Doctors

Kyle's Cellulitis
Last Thursday Kyle had a massive welt on his leg from a bug bite. He had some Benadryl, some cream, and some ice and it wasn't getting any better, so we went to the doctor. He was diagnosed with cellulitis and put on antibiotics and steroid cream. We were told that if it got any worse to give them a call or if it wasn't better by Saturday to call.
Saturday morning, the original spot was pretty much gone, but he had a new spot of cellulitis. I called and talked to the nurse at our pediatrician office and was told to draw a line around the spot and if it got any bigger or if he started to run a fever to take him to the ER. Saturday afternoon we ended up going to the ER because the spot kept growing. The ER doctor said that it wasn't to the point where he needed IV antibiotics yet, but his suspicion was the oral antibiotics were doing their jobs because the first spot went away. He said to keep doing what we were doing and to come back if Kyle started to run a fever.
Luckily, Sunday morning he woke up with no more cellulitis...just a bunch of big mosquito bites.

Colby's Ears
In the beginning of last week, Colby started pulling on his ears. There wasn't any drainage, so I was pretty sure he didn't have an infection. We used a flashlight to look in his ears and coud see chunks of wax, so I called and made an appointment with the ENT for him to get his ears cleaned out.
Friday morning we went to the ENT and he cleaned LOTS of hard wax out of Colby's ears. After Colby kept saying "ears all better!"
Colby's ears just make lots of hard wax and there's not a whole lot we can do about it while he has tubes besides go to the ENT every few months and get it cleaned out. Once his tubes are out, we can use drops to soften the wax and can clean it out at home.

WIC
Yesterday, all four kids had a WIC visit and were weighed and measured.
Emily - 29 lbs, 3 ft 2 in
Kyle - 30 lbs 7 oz, 3 ft 5 in
Colby - 25 lbs 4 oz, 2 ft 9 in
Peyton - 15 lbs 6 oz, 2 ft 2 in

Peyton's Six Month Well Check
Peyton also had his six month check up yesterday. All of his measurements were the same as at WIC. :)
He's growing well and developing like he shoud. We are continuing with his meds for his reflux and talked about starting solids. We are going to stick with just fruits and veggies for a long time and very slowly introduce new foods. Typically it's recommend to wait 3 to 5 days in between new foods, but we are going to wait 7 to 10 days. He said if we had any signs of allergic reactions to let him know and we would do allergy testing sooner rather than later.

Peyton's Two Month Well Visit

On Tuesday, Peyton his has two month well visit.

All checked out good. He's growing and developing as he should!

The only concern was that his reflux seems to be getting worse. So we adjusted his meds for his weight and there isn't an improvement in a week or so, I'm supposed to call and the doctor will prescribe something stronger. So far, after two days, the new dosage seems to be helping.

Peyton's stats..
Weight - 10 lbs 2 oz
Height - 21.75 inches
Head - 38.25 cm

4 Weeks Old and a "Sick" Visit to the Doctor

To celebrate being four weeks ago, Mr. Peyton had his first "sick" visit to the doctor. He's been a gassy baby since he was born, but the past week or so, it has gotten worse. He was having lots of issues burping and spitting up...and sometimes it was causing breathing issues. So we decided to take him in. The doctor confirmed my suspicions of acid reflux and put him on medicine for it. Hopefully it helps and we can all (really, just mommy and Peyton) can start sleeping better again!

Also, the little dude weighed in at 7 lbs 7 oz today!

Colby's Weight Check

Colby was scheduled for his follow up weight check appointment this morning, but due to a scheduling error/issue (or something!) we ended up seeing a different doctor.

A month ago (at 19 months), Colby was 20 lbs even. Not worry about the fact that he's on the very low end of the growth chart, the doctor was concerned because he's not following a typical curve. His "curve" is going to look funny because of the weight issues that are caused by celiac disease, but after being on a gluten free diet, his should start a new curve and continue to grow and gain weight. At Colby's 12 month visit, he was 19 lbs 8 oz, he then was up to 21 lbs 9 oz before he got sick, and then dropped down to just below 18 lbs. At his 15 month visit, he was up to 20 lbs 14 oz, so we were hoping that his weight issues had resolved themselves and that he would start to gain again. So, there was a bit of concern when he was down again at his 18 month visit (at 19 months old).

Today Colby was up to 21 lbs even! So he's up a whole pound from where he was a month ago! I'm excited that he's gained, but at the same time understand the reality could be a month ago his bladder was empty and today it was full...which could make a difference.

The doctor we saw today, said he wants to have Colby's regular doctor decide if we need to do anything other than just watch and see if he continues to gain since he's not familiar with Colby's "complex medical history." (I think celiac disease tends to scare some doctors.) So, we are waiting for a phone call on Monday to know if we need to go blood work, follow up with Colby's GI doctor, or just wait and see what the little dude does between now and his two year well child visit.

I was worried, but my mind is at ease now know that he is gaining. We've been told a few times that it normally takes celiac kids about six months on a gluten free diet for them to start absorbing nutrients "normal" again. We are just a week shy of the six month mark for being gluten free. So, my guess is that everything is going to be okay... as long as we keep gluten away from the kid!! :)

20 Months Old!

Opps... I'm a day late. I thought about the fact it was the 28th during church... and then not again until this morning. I'm not sure how another month passed so quickly, but it did!

Colby has become very vocal in the past month. It seems like he is always making noise of some sort. If Kyle and Emily are singing, he sings right along with him. If they are talking, he mimics whatever they are saying. He loves to make animal noises. He points out EVERYTHING and tells us what he thinks it is. He refers to Kyle and Emily by their names, and sometimes Peyton too!

Colby has made it very clear that he does not like to be left out. If Kyle and Emily are getting something he's always right there asking "ME!?!?!?!" It's kind of cute... for now! :) Most of the time he refers to himself as "me" but every once in a while we can get him to say "Colby" too!

Colby still loves his puzzles and improves at them every day. If he wants some "alone time," I often find him sitting in his room working on a stack of puzzles. He's really good at the "baby" puzzles and normally can help Kyle with his "big kid" puzzles.

Books are Colby's other favorite activity. He loves to sit in someone's lap and have them read to him, but he's also very content sitting and "reading" books by himself or to Spidey Bear!

Colby loves to walk up and down the stairs holding someone's hand. He does pretty good most of the time. Although we normally end up carrying him up the stairs because he takes way to long.

Colby still only has four teeth that are all the way in, but another six that have broken through his gums and are slowly making their way up. Two more are just under his gums waiting their turn.

Some days its a real struggle to get Colby to eat anything. Most of the time we can at least get to him eat a banana if he won't eat anything else. Other days, it seems like we can give him enough food so that he's full. Bananas are his favorite food for sure, but he also seems to love pasta (gluten free of course) with red sauce. Kix cereal has recently changed ingredients and are now gluten free! "Balls" seem to be his favorite, so we buy them when we see them on sale; they are WIC approved, but no where around here carries the 18 oz boxes that WIC will pay for, or else he probably would get them a lot more often.

Most days Colby is still nursing after lunch and after dinner. If we are out and no the go for the day, he normally will skip his after lunch "boob," but if we are home, he pretty much demands it. He is falling asleep while nursing less often, so he's getting better at falling asleep in his crib on his own.

We go back to the doctor on Friday for a weigh check. Hopefully he will have gained a little bit in the past four weeks. I know the kid is getting taller by the way his clothes fit him, but I'm still not sure he's gaining any weight.

Colby's 18 Month Well Visit (at 19 Months Old!)

This morning Colby had is 18 month well visit..the visit gets pushed out a bit when you will only see one doctor and forget to schedule more than 3 months ahead...

We actually went in for a sick visit yesterday because the poor kiddo had a fever that we couldn't get to break. Last night it was thought that the fever was mostly likely from all of the teeth Colby is getting. He would have wanted to recheck him today, so it worked out well that we already had the well visit scheduled for today.

As far as his fever and such goes... he woke up this morning way early and was very warm and just plain crabby. Once he finally ate breakfast, Colby seemed back to normal and his fever broke on the way to the doctor's office.

Our pediatrician is still pretty sure his fever and crankiness is just from ALL the teeth trying to come in.... all eight teeth trying at once! Poor kiddo!

We talked about food and what's changed in the past couple months. The doctor is still very much agrees with the Celiac diagnosis.

Developmentally, aside from vocab, Colby is doing things that are considered milestones for two and two and a half years old!

The only concern again was Colby's weight. At his 15 month visit, Colby weighed 20 lbs 14 oz. Today, he was at 20 lbs even. We talked again about diet and the doctor agrees we are feeding him a very healthy and well balanced diet. So he wants us to come back in a month for a weight check and if he still hasn't gained at that point, we'll decide what's next.

Colby's 15 Month Well Visit and Gluten Free Update

Colby had his 15 month well visit today.

Colby weighed in at 20 lbs 14 oz and measured 29.6 inches. (He's only less than a pound heavier than Kyle was at 15 months, and is between how tall Kyle and Emily were.)

The doctor was happy with his weight gain. He's up about a pound and a half from his visit a little over a month ago! He said that Colby looks nice and chubby, in a healthy way!

Everything else checked out well for Colby's exam.

We talked about the Celiac's diagnosis. The doctor said he wasn't surprised at all when he read the biopsy showed Celiac's. He said after listening to me describe the changes in the past three weeks since we cut out gluten, he is pretty certain that it is the correct diagnosis. We go back to the GI in ten days and he should have the second opinion back from UofM at that point, so we should have a confirmed diagnosis.

Since we've cut gluten from Colby and my diets, the kiddo has been way more interested in eating real food... all the time. I am pretty sure he would eat all day if I would let him. He's still very attached to "boob" and still loves to nurse, but I finally feel like food has become his main source of nutrient instead of breastmilk. He seems to have gotten more "spunky," which we assumed was just part of his developmental stage, but it seems to be in correlation with his diet change. He's finally pooping regularly and not straining so hard to poop. He is still taking stool softeners, but is taking less of them now. He's gotten chubby! He has always been our chubby baby, but for a while he was pretty skinning. He now has a nice chubby baby/toddler belly like most kiddos his age and has gotten some chub on his legs! Colby is sleeping better. Still not consistently through the night, but more so than he was before. (We did have a night last week where he was up all night screaming and seemed to be in pain... I'm pretty sure he somehow got some gluten by accident and that was the issue.) So yeah... we are continuing our gluten free diet and slowly making the transition to being a gluten free house hold!

And for the record... gluten is not nearly as hard to cut out of our diets as dairy was! No crazy withdraw symptoms!  :)

15 Months Old

Our little man is fifteen months old!

Colby has four teeth! For a few short days he liked to use his teeth to hold on when pulling himself up... like to hold on to mommy's leg.. or mommy's arm... it was a bit painful, but luckily it didn't last very long. He quickly learned how to use those teeth to take bites though... so now he uses them as they were meant to be used!

We are still a mess when it comes to sleep. We had three days in a row last week where Colby slept for 11 hours at night... so we know its possible. But it was short lived. He's been waking up very hungry between 3 and 4 am and nursing for about an hour before going back to sleep.

Since we cut all of the gluten from Colby's diet, he seems to be eating better. It seems like he eats.. and eats.. and eats.. and eats some more. Bananas and grapes seem to be a favorite, but he'll pretty much eat anything we give him. Colby has also mastered using spoons and forks already. Most of the time, he won't eat unless he has a utensil of some sort, and he uses them better than Kyle and Emily do! He can even eat a bowl of cereal all by himself!

As far as food, we are avoiding dairy, oats, peanuts, tree nuts, citrus, tomatoes, carrots, and gluten. I don't think the list has changed in the past month other than adding gluten due to the celiac's diagnosis. As far as his environmental allergies, it seems like the new medication and changing around the other ones is helping. He's been able to play outside longer without getting short of breath or covered in hives!

Schedule wise, things are pretty much the same. Breakfast at 8ish, lunch around noon, dinner around 5:30. He has been doing better with his nap! Normally he goes down around 1:00 and sleeps until 3:30ish. Bed time is around 7:00 most nights. He's kind of hit or miss with what time he wakes up in the morning. If he eats in the middle of the night, he normally sleeps until Kyle and Emily wake up at 8am. If he sleeps all night, he normally wakes up around 7am to nurse and is up for the day.

Most days, Colby is nursing three times a day. Sometime in the morning... either in the middle of the night, or when he wakes up.. after lunch/before nap time... and before bedtime. Every once in a while, he'll get a little bit extra.

Colby loves to walking, climb, run... If he doesn't half to be carried, he would rather not be. He's even gotten decent at climbing up stairs by himself! Going down stairs is a different story... He will climb on anything and everything he can. If I leave the room for a moment, I normally find him on top of something (like the kitchen table) when I come back. He's a crazy little monkey and wants to keep up with his big brother and sister!

Colby loves technology. If the iPad is out, he wants to use it. He's finally gotten to the point where he does more than just open and close apps... and take pictures! He has started to do some of the puzzle apps on the iPad and seems to enjoy the apps with animals that make noise. He also enjoys playing with mommy and daddy's phones.. or anyone else's that he can get a hold of!

Colby loves to play outside. He gets very excited when we put shoes on. Sometimes he doesn't realize we are leaving and thinks we are just going outside to play... and gets very mad when we put him in his car seat! As much as he loves to be outside, he's not to sure about walking in the grass. And if he falls over, he doesn't like to touch the grass to stand back up... Which probably is a good thing since he's allergic to the grass... He loves playing with the soccer ball with Emily. He also loves to go to the playground and go down slides!

When playing inside, Colby loves to read books. He picks out a book and finds a lap to sit on and wants to be read too! He also seems to enjoy reading books to himself. He also loves to play with blocks and build things.

Colby also loves to hang out in Kyle and Emily's beds. He climbs right up and cuddles in with their blankets. Sometimes they like this... sometimes they do not!

Colby is wearing mostly 12 month clothes. His pants are finally seeming to fit him well, but most of his long sleeve shirts still need to have the sleeves rolled up. He does have a few pair of 18 month jammies that he is wearing... and a new random 9 month shirts that still fit him as well.

Colby's sandals are  size five and his tennis shoes are size 4.

Colby loves to give kisses to Mommy, Daddy, Kyle, and Emily. Sometimes he will to other people as well. Most of the time he we can't give him to give kisses, he'll at least blow kisses. He also likes to give high fives and wave to people.

Colby has started to be helpful when it comes to picking up. He sometimes will pick up toys. Most of the time, we can get him to put his shoes and coat away when we get home. He's also pretty good at taking care of his dirty clothes!

Colby loves the chair in his room... he likes to sit and play in his chair. He also likes it when Mommy is in his chair because most of the time, that means he gets to nurse. But if any one else is in the chair, he normally isn't happy!

Colby says a few words... "mommy," "dada," "yeah," "boob," "bye," "vroom," "love you," "that," "up"... He also growls like a lion, barks like a dog, and quacks like a duck.

And.. most importantly... he's a little stud! :)
