Due Date and Doctor's Appointment

Today was my due date! And Kyle and Emily will be 4 weeks old tomorrow :) We also had Kyle's follow up appointment today with the cardiologist to check on his heart murmur (a hole in his heart). He had an ultrasound of his heart and an EKG. It was cool seeing his heart on the ultrasound - and not having him in my belly :) He was also weighed and measured - the little dude is now 6 lbs 8.5 oz and is 21 1/2 inches long! The doctor said that the hole is about 3mm long, which is a moderate size. It is located between the two lower chambers of his heart (which we already knew). He said it's about the same as it was when he saw Kyle in the hospital. He said now we know for sure that the murmur is below his aortic valve, which is a good thing. The doctor is pretty sure that it will still correct itself, and even if it doesn't, he said Kyle most likely will have not any problems or limitations because of the murmur. His recommendation is to have it checked every couple months until Kyle is 2 years old. Emily was a good little girl and slept the whole time we were at Kyle appointment :) Afterwards, we met Brent and took the babies to the park. They really didn't seem to care that they were outside. Kyle slept until we was hungery. Emily ate and then slept.
