Christmas Adventures Week Two

December 7

Today our adventure was to go to our church's live nativity. Grandma and Grandpa Franks came along with us (so that I wouldn't have to take the kids by my self because Brent was in the nativity). We had a lot of fun on the horse drawn wagon ride watching the different parts of the Christmas story. And then having hot chocolate and cookies! We were very thankful that it was WAY warmer this year than it was last year!

December 8

Our planned Christmas adventure for today was to make sugar cookies (gluten free, of course!) The kids all helped cut out the shapes... but apparently daddy only took pictures of them watching me roll out the dough!

We also went to Battle Creek today to celebrate Christmas with Grandma and Grandpa Cary since we won't be able to attend the Cary Family Christmas (because Brent has to work).

December 9

Today we decorated the cookies! The kids did a decent jobs and didn't make too much of a mess!
I let them each pick what color frosting they wanted... Emily picked pink, Kyle picked blue, and Colby picked yellow.

By the way... the cookies were pretty good and are already all gone!

December 10

Today's activity was to make snow man decorations. They didn't get done on the right day (due to a weird day with no heat in our house!).... but they did get done!

Emily's is on top, Kyle's on bottom, and Colby's is on the side (Colby had the most help!)!

December 11

Today's activity was the watch the Charlie Brown Christmas Movie. The kiddos seemed to enjoy it... they kept saying "Christmas is about Jesus, not Christmas trees or presents!"

December 12

Today's activity was to make Christmas cards for grandparents. (Grandmas and Grandpas act surprised when they give you your cards!)

December 13

Today's activity was supposed to be to play in the snow, but we currently done have any snow...
So, we are going to watch Elf and eat popcorn and cuddle!
