Today's adventure was supposed to be making snow ice cream... but we don't have any snow. Instead, the kiddos got to eat a bowl of ice cream as a "late" snack after youth group!
Today's adventure was to buy toys for Toys for Tots! We went to Wal-Mart and let the kids pick out whatever toy they wanted. After we paid, they put it in the Toys for Tots box. I was very proud that they were all excited to give a toy to "Baby Jesus" for another little boy or girl!
Emily picked out a barbie. Kyle picked out a McQeen race track. Colby picked out some motorcycles.
We watched the Frosty the Snowman movie... or the second one. We found it on YouTube, and it wasn't the one we thought it was...Frosty got a wife. Either way, the kids enjoyed watching a movie in mommy and daddy's bed.
We read Christmas books for today's adventure. Daddy read us three books... one about God giving us Christmas, one about the birth of Jesus, and one about the smells of Christmas.
Today we watch the Christmas story on our Jesus Story Book Bible DVD. The kids were excited to watch the Bible and asked to watch more!
Our adventure today was to buy daddy a Christmas present. The kids wanted to buy him cars and dolls, but mommy talked them into picking something for daddy. So they bought him three bags of sour gummy worms. (Don't worry, I'm not spoiling his surprise, they already told him!)
Today's adventure was to drive around to look at Christmas lights. All three kids love looking at Christmas lights! When we got home we "watched" our lights on our Christmas tree and daddy talked about how the lights are kind of like stars and that God sent a special start the night Jesus was born to show people where to find him.
We also celebrated Christmas with Grandpa Johnson, Aunt Katie, Uncle Trevor, Aunt Kara and Ian today.
Today the kids got to eat a "candy cone!" Not sure why they call them that, but they do...
Emily and Colby seemed to enjoy them and Kyle inhaled his!
