Colby had is one year check up today. All went well. He is 19 lbs (15th percentile) and 28 inches long (3rd percentile). It's still on the lower side of the growth charts, but is continuing to grow and do well!
We talked with the doctor a little more about his allergies and eczema. He pretty much said the same thing as the allergist about continuing to breastfeeding to possibly help his allergies go away. He told us to make sure we keep his skin from getting dry and use lots of allergy free lotion. We also talked about what Colby should be drinking instead of cow's milk. He also suggested we first try soy (what the allergist had suggested too). He said lots of kids don't have any issues with it. But then we were talking about how much Colby is still nursing and he said that it sounds like Colby is getting all he needs from breastmilk and doesn't need another milk right now. So...we are going to wait a bit, and then maybe try soy milk and see how he does with it.
For those of you wondering how Colby compares to Kyle and Emily at a year... here are the stats from their one year well visit...
