Colby loves to roll... and roll... and roll some more! When he's on the floor he spends most of his time on his belly looking around. He sometimes scoots forwards if he can get his feet on something to push on. The past few days he has started using his arms to scoot himself backwards. He also can get his knees up under him in the crawling position, but can't get his belly off the ground yet.
Colby can prop sit... if he's leaning on something or using his arms to hold himself up, but only for a couple minutes. He likes to sit up in people's laps so that he can look around, but if he's by himself, I think he prefers his belly.
Colby enjoys is saucer. He plays with and chews on the toys on it. He can spin himself in circles. And he is starting to bounce up and down in it!
Lately, Colby's day has been starting between 5:30am and 6:30am. He normally eats and goes back to sleep until 9:00am or so. If he doesn't go right back to sleep, he normally will fall back asleep after he plays for a little bit. Normally around 10:00am he'll eat again, and then every two or three hours through out the day. He normally takes a short nap after he eats at 10:00 and then a long nap in the afternoon, and sometimes another short nap around dinner time. After Kyle and Emily go to bed around 7:00pm, Colby and I cuddle and he eats for a while and goes to sleep. He'll normally wake up one more time to eat some more (if not, I wake him up), and then be out for the night.
During naps, Colby normally sleeps on his belly now, but at night time, he is still sleeping on his back for the most part.
Colby is still a champ when it comes to breastfeeding. He started to get distracted while eating during the day when Emily and Kyle are jumping around and he wants to see what's going on, but he has gotten good at eating quickly so that he can get back to playing! Still no bottles for the little dude... he's 100% a boob man! :) My milk supply is still more than that it needs to be, but I have found a family in Grand Ledge that is using our extra breastmilk for their little girl that's a little bit older than Colby. Yay for milk sharing!
Colby pretty much only gets his pacifier during nap time. And he spits it out as soon as he falls sleep. I do give it to him every once in a while at other times during the day... like if he's hungry, but Emily and Kyle need my attention for a couple minutes before I can feed Colby (need food, need out of their cribs, need help going potty, ect.).
Colby is wearing 3 month and 3-6 month clothes. He still does have a few things in his dresser that are 0-3 month that fit him... but are starting to get too small.
Colby LOVES to watch Emily and Kyle play. He enjoys it when they play with him and share their toys with him. They make him laugh and love to give him kisses. They both have always been very good about making sure they get each other stuff (water, snack, treat, prize...), but now that are starting to want to get things for Colby too. It's pretty cute! :)
Colby is very much a happy baby. The only time he really cries is when he's hungry. Most of the time he is content to lay and play with his toys or sit in his saucer playing with his toys. He loves it when people talk to him and gives away smiles very easily.
